Sarah ‘Fergie’ Ferguson is said to be considering a “six-figure-sum” sit-down interview after being officially cut loose from the Royal Family- but there’s reportedly one senior royal she won’t touch, according to insiders.
The 66-year-old, who was stripped of her Duchess title, perks and long-term home at Royal Lodge alongside her 65-year-old ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten Windsor in late October, has been at the centre of intense speculation after her association with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein resurfaced.
Reports claim the mother-of-two has been “tipped to partake in a bombshell interview” targeting several members of the Firm- including King Charles III- as a form of “seeking revenge”.
But royal commentator Samara Gill believes there’s a clear line she won’t cross.
According to Gill, Fergie “probably won’t” speak about her ex-husband at all.
“I think it’s not right that she is going to speak out, but I think she will,” Gill told The Sun’s Royal Podcast on Wednesday.
“This is the scenario that I worried about the most for the Royal Family. Who knows whose dirty laundry they will then air out?”
Gill said that while Fergie is unlikely to expose her own secrets, she may have fewer concerns about divulging others’, especially with “six figure sums” reportedly on offer.
“She probably won’t brief about Andrew, she probably won’t even really talk about herself unless it’s about her struggle,” Gill said.
“She might talk about other Royal Family members and throw them under the bus and that’s what I’m worried about.”
Interestingly, the tell-all offer is believed to have come from none other than Oprah Winfrey, who has interviewed Fergie twice before.
Winfrey famously conducted the explosive two-hour special with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle back in 2021, featuring allegations of racism inside the Royal Institution, Meghan’s mental health battle and claims the couple felt silenced and unprotected.
On Monday, TALKTV host Mark Dolan told Sky News’ Paul Murray he believes a Fergie tell-all could spark a fresh crisis for King Charles.
“The King has got a major problem now, a big headache,” Dolan said.
“He thought that he put the ‘Andrew issue’ to bed by stripping him of the Prince title and the Duke of York title and chucking him out of Royal Lodge.
“It hasn’t worked, because there is a loose cannon, a very ginger-haired elephant in the room, and it’s Fergie.”
Dolan argued Fergie- “one of the most recognisable figures in the world”- now has an “axe to grind” with her brother-in-law after being evicted from her 30-room mansion on the Great Windsor Estate.
“She’s homeless… she’s got financial problems, plus she wants to set the record straight about her links with Epstein,” he said.
“The big problem is for Charles because this whole scandal threatens to taint his entire reign as monarch.”
