‘The Originals’ Co-Stars Quietly Got Married After 7 Years Together

Danielle Campbell and Colin Woodell are married after seven years of dating.

The actress, 30, and the actor, 33, tied the knot in France on Saturday, September 13, according to photos uploaded to social media.

In the images, Campbell and Woodell posed in their wedding attire — a white off-the-shoulder gown for her and a white tuxedo for him. They appeared to celebrate their nuptials with their loved ones at an outdoor reception.

Campbell and Woodell both starred on The Originals, a spinoff of The Vampire Diaries that aired on The CW for five seasons from 2013 to 2018. She portrayed the series regular role of young witch Davina Claire during the first three seasons. After exiting the show in 2016, she returned as a special guest star in seasons 4 and 5. Woodell, for his part, appeared as werewolf Aiden during season 2 and briefly reprised his role in season 5.

The couple began dating in 2018 and announced their engagement in August 2023 after more than five years together.

“You and me,” Campbell captioned Instagram photos of the pair embracing in front of a mountain landscape and showing off her diamond ring.

While Campbell and Woodell have kept their relationship relatively private, they are not the only actors in the Vampire Diaries universe to find love. Joseph Morgan — who led The Originals as Klaus Mikaelson — married co-star Persia White (Abby Bennett Wilson) in 2014 after the two met on the Vampire Diaries set, and The Vampire Diaries’ Candice King (Caroline Forbes) announced her engagement to Originals alum Steven Krueger (Josh Rosza) in May. Meanwhile, Arielle Kebbel (Lexi Branson) and Zach Roerig (Matt Donovan) from The Vampire Diaries confirmed in April that they’re dating.

Other romances within the franchise have not been as successful, with two major breakups rocking the fandom. Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert) and Ian Somerhalder (Damon Salvatore) continued working together on The Vampire Diaries after their 2013 split. As for Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore) and Phoebe Tonkin (Hayley Marshall), by the time they called it quits in 2017, she had moved on from The Vampire Diaries to The Originals.
