High-profile attendees pulled out all the styling stops for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s MSG wedding last weekend, including supermodel Gigi Hadid, who debuted a new bouncy blowout for the occasion. Featuring soft, easy curls and a deep side part, her hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos, named the effortlessly glam style the “Soft Serve Blowout,” a look meant to channel the same “sweet feeling” one might have when enjoying a few scoops of ice cream.
Giannetos was inspired to create the style around Hadid’s shimmering hot-pink Wiederhoeft gown. “Gigi is wearing a gorgeous pink dress, so I wanted to keep her hair very soft and sweet,” the stylist writes in an Instagram post about the star’s polished look. “I wanted the hair just to be timeless and have those vintage waves w an extreme side part! I wanted Gigi to look like she’s the star on a film noir!” Giannetos adds that another reason he decided on the sundae theme for the supermodel’s hairstyle is because of its overall swirl-like texture, complete with enhanced volume at the ends.
Hadid’s soft-serve wedding-guest hair was even more impactful thanks to the new contoured “Love Layers”—or heart-shaped, C-cut layers—Giannetos crafted for the supermodel a day prior, starting at the chin. The rounded cut gave Hadid’s length added dimension and movement, along with increased volume at her roots for extra haircare.
