Stroll through one of the largest art festivals in Volusia County, embrace local talent with live entertainment at the Daytona Ocean Center, or stop by Port Orange’s City Center for a free weekend of fun, featuring local pickle and jam vendors, food trucks and face painting.
For those still mapping out their weekend, here’s a look at several family-friendly events worth claiming space on your calendar.
IMAGES art festival to fill downtown New Smyrna Beach sidewalks
One of Volusia County’s largest and oldest sidewalk art festivals will attract more than 250 artists competing for $30,000 in cash prizes, as well as the eyes of thousands of visitors.
The 50th annual IMAGES: A Festival for the Arts starts Friday, Jan. 23, from 1 to 5 p.m., continues Saturday, Jan. 24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and concludes Sunday, Jan. 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Portions of Riverside Drive and Canal Street in downtown New Smyrna Beach will be closed for the artists’ booths.
The event, presented by the Atlantic Center for the Arts, also features food trucks, live entertainment, and educational activities for children. For more, visit imagesartfestival.org.

Local talent shines at Daytona’s Ocean Center
A free live entertainment series is launching at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, which will focus on local artists and nonprofits.
The first of the Diving Board Sessions will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22, in the Diving Board space at the Ocean Center at 101 N. Atlantic Ave. in Daytona Beach.
“The evening will highlight original music and local talent, featuring performances by Wispi, winner of the 2025 Locals Mix Original Songwriters Contest,” according to the Ocean Center. “Additional performances will include Sammy Rose & The Band, and Dyer Davis closing out the night.”
Also, artist Jeremy Pappa will be painting live. The event will also focus on the Beekeepers of Volusia County’s work in education and conservation.

Art and Craft Festival at Veterans Park
Arts and crafts enthusiasts this weekend have the perfect opportunity to find the next addition to their collections or a new item to decorate their home.
The Art and Craft Festival, presented by TNT Events, will take place Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 24-25, at Flagler Beach’s Veterans Park, right across from the pier and in front of City Hall.
Organizers are inviting the public to browse through booths where local artists and crafters will be offering paintings of different styles, photographs, handcrafted jewelry, handmade soaps and much more.
This outdoor, family-friendly event is free to the public and will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and until 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Family-friendly festival at Port Orange’s City Center
The Pickle & JAM-Boree Fest is a new family-friendly event that will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m, Saturday, Jan. 24, at Port Orange’s City Center.
The event will feature local pickle and jam vendors, food trucks, artisan crafts, live music, and kids’ activities including face painting and bounce houses. There will also be a pickle eating content, and attendees can sample and vote for their favorite jams and pickles.
The public will be able to buy various pickles, jams, jellies, and pickled vegetables from local vendors.
The festival is free to attend, and free parking will be available.
City Center is located between Clyde Morris Boulevard and Dunlawton Avenue next to Port Orange’s City Hall and library. Hosted by For the Love of Shopping LLC, the festival offers a day to enjoy tangy treats, unique shopping, and community fun.

Got a green thumb but could still use some help?
ReGrow Volusia and ReGrow the Loop will host a series of free environmental education programs, workshops and outdoor experiences from January through June, offering residents opportunities to learn about native plants, conservation, wildlife habitats and sustainable landscaping throughout Volusia County.
First up is Plan Your Spring Garden, which takes place from 9–10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24, at Lyonia Environmental Center, located at 2150 Eustace Ave. in Deltona. The event is presented by Lyonia Environmental Center staff and volunteers.
There are more green events to come. The schedule includes guided hikes, hands-on workshops and expert-led presentations at libraries, environmental centers and parks along the Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail and beyond.
