Saturday, Dec. 27

YMCA of Pueblo Hot Chocolate 5K

3200 E. Spaulding Ave. | 9 a.m.| Join the YMCA of Pueblo for its first Hot Chocolate Run, which promises miles of smiles and chocolatey rewards for seasoned runners and casual walkers. Race registration ended Dec. 23.

Wednesday, Dec. 31

La Familia Presents: New Year’s Eve Bash 2026

Pueblo Convention Center, 320 Central Main St. | Doors open to VIPs at 6 p.m., general public at 7 p.m. | The convention center has put together a heavy-hitting lineup of performers for New Year’s Eve, starting with Pueblo’s own Jr Y Los Pachucos and Bits and Pieces and then continuing with some of the very best in New Mexico sound, such as Aj Martinez, Gabriel Serna Jr, Gorge Rivas and the one and only Gonzalo. VIP tickets are $65, Blue Level tickets are $55, and general admission tickets are $35. Tickets can be purchased at puebloconventioncenter.com.

Sober Silver New Year’s Eve Party: Dinner, Dance Party & Toast at The Ethos

615 E. Mesa Ave. | Dinner from 7-9 p.m. | Dance party from 9:30-11:50 p.m. | Toast from 11:50 p.m. – 12:20 a.m. | Bring a guest, dress in your silver sparkle best, and ring in the New Year in sober style with The Ethos. Solo tickets are $50, couple’s tickets are $90, a table for four is $180, or you can come just for the dance party for $20. Tickets can be purchased at ethospueblo.com/ticket/sober-silver-nye-party

Friday, Jan. 2

‘Artful Echoes’ exhibit at Steel City Art Works

330 S. Union Ave., in the McLaughlin Building| 5-8 p.m.| Steel City Art Works will host an opening reception for “Artful Echoes,” as the gallery celebrates its one-year anniversary at the historical McLaughlin Building, with art that reflects the past year. Stop by and visit with the artists and enjoy complimentary refreshments. The show will hang all month and the gallery is open free to the public from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon-4 p.m. Sunday.

‘A New Animal’ gallery opening, Dry January menu tasting at The Ethos

615 E. Mesa Ave. | gallery opening from 5-9 p.m., menu tasting from 5:30-8:30 p.m. | A new year, a whole new animal. Join The Ethos for a community gallery opening of animal-themed works, created by local artists across mediums. Also on the first Friday in January, the Ethos hosts its Dry January Menu Tasting to kick off the New Year with new recipes and old favorites.  Share a beverage or mocktail flight with a friend for $5, or grab a single sample of your choice for $1.25.

Saturday, Jan. 3

Stitch-n-Bitch at The Ethos

615 E Mesa Ave. | 6-9 p.m. |  Come stitch with fellow fiber artists, and bitch about anything that springs to mind at this free monthly social event.

Monday, Jan. 5

Neuropong at YMCA Pueblo

3200 E. Spaulding Ave. | 1-3 p.m. every Monday | Check out this free table tennis exercise program which supports people experiencing cognitive decline and neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis and ADHD. No equipment needed. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes to move around in. The event is open to the public. For details, call Brittany Campbell at 719-543-5151 ext. 267 or email [email protected].

Wednesday, Jan. 7

Book tasting at The Ethos

615 E Mesa Ave. | 6-7 p.m. | Sample different “courses” of books, appetizers, entrées, and desserts of reading, while discovering new favorites in a fun setting! This first menu of the year is all about New Year, New Worlds. The Ethos will be serving a collection of books with fresh starts, new settings, or big life changes.  

Thursday, Jan. 8

The Id at The Ethos

615 E. Mesa Ave. | 6:30-9 p.m. | Literary open mic with poetry, short stories, and folk tales included. No music, no hate speech. This is an all-ages event; please keep offerings PG. Free monthly event.

‘Kinky Boots’ at Pueblo Memorial Hall

1 City Hall Place | Doors open at 6:30 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m. | The boots are back! Kinky Boots will lift your spirits to high-heeled heights! Celebrated with six Tony Awards®, including Best Musical, a Grammy Award® for Best Musical Theatre Album, and London’s Olivier Award for Best Musical, this big-hearted musical hit will have you strutting out of the theater saying “Yeah!” Presented by the Broadway Theater League. Tickets range from $75 to $112 and can be purchased at pueblomemorialhall.com.

Friday, Jan. 9

Bar and Craft night at The Ethos

615 E. Mesa Ave. | 6:00-9 p.m.| Bar and Craft night is one of The Ethos’ experimental ideas. How it works is you come to the bar, you bring your latest craft project (or try one of The Ethos’) and have fun hanging out with people and working on your project. Just show up with or without a craft project, and get crafty. Tools, bits and bobs, and helpful people will be around.
