This Is Us star Blake Stadnik delighted fans with an epic performance of an original song from the show.
Mandy Moore, Chris Sullivan, and Sterling K. Brown took their That Was Us podcast on the road last weekend. The trio hosted their first live podcast event at The Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles.
During the event, Stadnik took the stage with Moore’s husband, Taylor Goldsmith, and his band to deliver a powerhouse performance of the hit This Is Us original song, “Memorized.”
Taking to Instagram, Stadnik shared a video of the jaw-dropping performance, writing, “Singing this song took me right back to that first episode of #ThisIsUs season 4 at TheGreek! 🤘I don’t know if I can properly express what it’s like performing with @taylordawesgoldsmith and this band. Imagine flying, but the wind is music. There’s no rush like it! 😎 Many thanks to @sullivangrams @mandymooremm and @sterlingkbrown for making this magical night of music, laughter, storytelling, and love happen. 💛#ThatWasUsLive.”
“Memorized” was featured in the This Is Us Season 4 premiere, where Stadnik performed it as his character, Jack Damon, at The Greek. The song was written by Goldsmith and Siddhartha Khosla, the composer for the NBC drama.
Moore, who played matriarch Rebecca Pearson, popped into the comments to gush over her co-star, writing, “You’re a total and absolute rockstar and gentleman. Thank you for joining us!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.” Chrissy Metz, who starred as Kate Pearson, also chimed in with a message to her former on-screen son, noting, “Ugh, I am so bummed I missed the night and you, Blake! That song always makes me emotional! 🤍.”
Fans filled the comments to praise the performance. “You were amazing! I was at the show and watched you live! ♥️🫶🏼,” insisted a fan.
Another fan added, “I love this song. It was great hearing it again. It was like it was made for you to sing,” as a third declared, “Nicely Done Blake👏🔥.”
