The iconic musical group The Monkees released quite a few big hits during their heyday throughout the late 1960s and into the 1970s. According to a new post on the band’s Instagram page, something big is on the way for fans, and they cannot wait.
On September 19, a new post appeared on The Monkee’s Instagram page. The post included a graphic of pastel flowers and white text read, “10-2-25.” The caption contained the same date with no additional context other than a couple of emojis.
Apparently, fans of The Monkees didn’t think they needed any additional context. The style of the graphic used in the post was quite similar to the album cover for the band’s 1967 album “Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd.”
Fans often refer to the album as PAC&J, and the social media post got everybody buzzing.
The top comment read, “This is it! The final Monkees legacy box set. And boy, did they save the best for last!” The commenter added, “You literally cannot go wrong with any track on PAC&JLTD. I’m glad Micky is here to see the deluxe treatment of not only the great Monkees album, but one of the greatest albums of the rock era!”

Micky Dolenz is now the only member of The Monkees still remaining. Davy Jones died in 2012, and Peter Tork died in 2019. Michael Nesmith, the band’s other member, died in 2021.
After seeing the social media tease, another Instagram user gushed, “Literally the best thing that happened this month. Long live the Monkees!!!!”
Someone else simply questioned, “NO WAY??”
An additional comment read, “Pretty sure this is the announcement we’ve all been waiting for!”

The same graphic and caption was shared on The Monkees Facebook page, and fans were equally excited there. One fan even shared a photo of their wedding cake, which was a replica of the original album cover.
Someone else on Facebook noted, “Those flowers are SO recognizable!!!”
Another excited fan wrote, “Show me where to preorder. I’m Ready!!!!”
“FINALLY!!!! I hope it will be worth the wait!!! Their best LLP, in my opinion,” read an additional Facebook comment.
The Album Allowed The Monkees to Set a Record Via Billboard
According to Billboard in December 2021, Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones, Ltd. gave The Monkees a record that stood for decades. The album quickly made it to the top spot on the Billboard charts, and it was The Monkees’ fourth album in 1967 to hit that top spot. Having four number 1 albums in one year was an accomplishment that proved difficult to match.
The band’s first album, The Monkees, spent the end of 1966 and the first five weeks of 1967 in the top spot. More of the Monkees took over the Billboard top spot and remained there for 18 weeks. In June, Headquarters climbed to the top of the Billboard chart, and when Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones, Ltd. was released in December, it propelled The Monkees to the top spot and the record.
