QUINNESEC — Thomas Theatre Group Inc. has started construction on a new 8,500-square-foot Family Entertainment Center at its Quinnesec location.
The project is designed to create a memorable entertainment experiences for families and community members across the Upper Peninsula, the company stated in a news release.
The new facility will feature —
— A 145-seat restaurant with a centrally located bar.
— A 40-game arcade with a redemption center powered by Intercard.

— A social area complete with axe-throwing bays that can accommodate up to 16 guests.
— A social room ideal for birthday parties, private rentals and corporate team-building events.
The facility will be attached to the existing eight-screen movie theatre, offering guests a unique all-in-one entertainment destination for dining, gaming, film and fun, according to the release.
Gundlach Champion has been selected as the general contractor for the project. This marks the fifth collaboration between Thomas Theatre Group and Gundlach Champion since 1993. Financing for the project is being provided by First Bank, Thomas Theatre Group’s primary business bank.
Construction began in September and is scheduled for completion in June, just in time for the nation’s 250th anniversary celebration.
