Suburbia meets the ever-growing world of adult content creation in TLC’s latest reality show.
PEOPLE has the exclusive trailer for Double Lives of Suburban Wives, following six housewives as they dabble in raunchy side hustles as adult content creators to build a better life for their families.
“On the surface, it may look like we are typical housewives, but we’re not,” one housewife says in the trailer. “Behind our perfect suburban lives are the secrets nobody sees.”
In the trailer, viewers are introduced to six St. Louis couples who took a chance on the unconventional way to make a living.

Tammy and her husband Drew are the couple who started it all. Tammy was once a registered veterinary nurse but is now a full-time adult content creator. The pair serves as the anchor of the group, providing a sense of community and offering guidance to the other couples.
However, things aren’t quite simple, as Tammy tries to balance her faith with her job. “Being a Christian, I do struggle with that,” Tammy says.

“I was a teacher. I was struggling,” Megan says, before her husband Tyler explains they relied on food stamps and didn’t have a place to live. After taking on her sexy side hustle, her secret was exposed, resulting in her being fired from her teaching job. Now, Megan must decide between returning to her passion for teaching or prioritizing financial security.

Before Megan, Brianna lost her teaching job after a very public outing. As she embraced adult content creation as her full-time job, she and her husband Phillip became overnight sensations and are the wealthiest couple in the group, per the trailer.
Despite this, their relationship grows tense as Phillip reveals they don’t have sex anymore. Later in the trailer, Brianna notes she “caught him for the second time” and “divorce is not off the table.”
For Heather and Shawn, making adult content gave them a way to earn the “most money” and the “most time with our families.”
However, they have kept this a secret from everyone around them, including Shawn’s mother, who lives with them. And Heather begins to doubt if the path she chose aligns with her true self.

Emily has built a highly successful platform and created a name for herself in the world of adult content as “the natural MILF.” Meanwhile, her husband Nathan, juggles his job as a drugstore manager and various side hustles.
Macy, a former nanny, is married to Jim, a day trader who shares he never had time to spend with his son. Now they can prioritize their family and “walk away with four or five grand” with just a single video of Macy showering.
As the weight of secrecy and fear of exposure grows, the two make the bold decision to reveal their truth. “Jim and I have kind of been keeping a big secret,” Macy says as Jim sighs.
Double Lives of Suburban Wives sees “these couples as they navigate the complexities of marriage, parenthood and suburban life alongside careers in adult content creation,” the official synopsis reads.
“Bound together by genuine friendships and shared experiences, the women lean on one another through the highs and lows, but even their closest bonds are tested as personal struggles, competing priorities and differing perspectives create friction within the group.”
“As they navigate judgment, family expectations and the challenges of balancing two very different worlds, the series offers an intimate look at the relationships that sustain them and the tensions that threaten to pull them apart,” the synopsis adds.
Double Lives of Suburban Wives premieres Sunday, Aug. 9, at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
