It appears the ARN program is now a thing of the past, apart from the on-air blow-up and the subsequent bad blood, the dramas have been magnified by the pair’s lack of success in Melbourne.
For that 10-year, reported $200 million contract – which includes potential bonuses – to be realised, Kyle and Jackie O had to be number one in both Sydney and Melbourne.

However, Ben Fordham has consistently beaten them in Sydney this year and they haven’t come close in Melbourne, so there is obviously a lot of frustration there.
The problems are only exacerbated for ARN, because there is no obvious back-up show or team to replace their timeslot with, after so many people were let go to free up the cash to pay Kyle and Jackie O.
