Tom Cruise has the ability to pull the crowd to the theaters with his shear star power. He is one of the highest grossing stars in the industry, with only a few other actors ahead of him. However, if a separate list is made with no Marvel or DC movies included, Cruise will be the highest-grossing movie star.

As of writing, Zoe Saldaña has become the highest-grossing star after her current movie, Avatar: Fire & Ash, hit the $1.2 billion mark at the box office (via GamesRadar). Saldaña has also been lucky enough to be part of the two highest-grossing movies of all time: Avatar ($2.9 billion) and Avengers: Endgame ($2.79 billion).
