Tom Holland confirmed his engagement to Zendaya in the sweetest way possible.
The British actor, 29, recently clarified that his “Spider-Man” co-star, 29, is now his “fiancée” and no longer his “girlfriend.”
In a clip from a panel, a reporter told Holland of a recent event, “I brought my daughter, and she got to meet your girlfriend. So, I was father of the year.”
Holland laughed and then replied, “Fiancée.”
Fans on social media praised Holland for his loving remark about Zendaya.
“The upgrade from girlfriend → fiancée… love levels unlocked,” one fan wrote on X.
“I love how proud he is to call her his fiancée. That’s real love right there,” another fan said.
“I love their relationship,” a third person added.

The couple’s engagement news broke in January, with Holland’s father, Dominic Holland, revealing that the proposal happened during the 2024 holiday season.
“Tom, as you know by now, was very incredibly well prepared,” Dominic wrote in a Patreon post in Jan. “He had purchased a ring. He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out… When, where, how, what to say, what to wear.”
After the proposal, Zendaya showed off her engagement ring for the first time at the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet in Jan., sporting a massive five-carat diamond on her finger.
Holland and Zendaya sparked dating rumors in 2017 after they landed starring roles in “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”
They kept their romance under wraps for years, until they were spotted kissing inside a car in Los Angeles in July 2021.
In Sept. 2023, Zendaya denied she was engaged to Holland after she posted an Instagram Story in which a ring was prominently featured.
“I can’t post anything, you guys,” she said in a video that she later deleted. “I posted it for my hat. Like not for the ring on my right hand, you guys, seriously.”
“You think that’s how I would drop the news? You think, like, what!” she added while laughing.
The stars have done their best to keep their romance private over the years, with Holland explaining earlier this year why he doesn’t walk red carpets with his future wife.
“Because it’s not my moment, it’s her moment, and if we go together, it’s about us,” he said in an interview with Men’s Health.
The “Uncharted” actor also said that he wants a quieter life once he starts a family.
“When I have kids, you will not see me in movies anymore. Golf and dad. And I will just disappear off the face of the earth,” he shared.
