Tony Germano — an actor who has worked with Netflix and Nickelodeon — has died at age 55 following a fatal fall in Brazil.
A spokesperson for the actor confirmed to People on Friday, November 28, that Germano suffered injuries after falling at his home in São Paulo while the property was undergoing renovations. Local publications Folha de Sao Paulo and O Estado de Sao Paulo reported that Germano had previously lost his balance while spending time at his parents’ home before the deadly accident.
A funeral service took place at the Bosque da Paz Cemetery in São Paulo municipality Vargem Grande Paulista on Thursday, November 27, with a burial scheduled for a future date.
“It is with deep sorrow that we confirm the passing of actor and voice artist Tony Germano on the morning of Wednesday, November 26. Tony suffered a fall at his residence and, unfortunately, did not survive his injuries,” his rep confirmed.
Their statement continued, “We kindly ask for respect and understanding during this painful time for his family, friends, and colleagues. Tony leaves behind a legacy of dedication, generosity and immense talent that touched everyone who had the privilege of working with him. His absence will be deeply felt.”

Germano was a prolific voice actor who dubbed the Portuguese-language versions of Netflix animated series Go, Dog, Go! and Disney’s Elena De Avalor. He also worked on Nickelodeon’s live-action comedy series Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn and took part in a project with The Muppets.
He had a notable supporting performance in Prime Video’s An Unforgettable Year: Autumn, a 2023 romantic-comedy about an unlikely relationship between a young student (Gabz) and a street musician (Lucas Leto) in São Paulo’s historic Paulista Avenue district. (The streaming movie spawned a sequel — titled An Unforgettable Year: Spring — that was released later in 2023.)
Other notable credits included the 2022 horror musical Phantom Summer and the 2025 erotic thriller Labyrinth of Lost Boys. According to multiple media outlets in Brazil, Germano contributed to the Portuguese-language soundtrack of Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast remake in 2017.
The veteran actor also had an established stage career, having starred in productions of the Shakespeare sendup Something Rotten!, The Wizard of Oz and The Phantom of the Opera, among many other well-known shows.

Brazilian actor and TV host Miguel Falabella remembered Germano as “an untouchable professional” and a “gifted actor,” as well as a “dear friend.” In his Instagram tribute, Falabella reflected on some of Germano’s career accomplishments and touched on their shared background.
“I have had the privilege of working alongside him in a few productions,” he added.
Germano’s friend and collaborator Matheus Marchetti was among many others who offered remembrances of the late actor via social media.
“I was editing your scene in Dorian Gray when I received the news, and I still haven’t been able to process it… I’d never lost a friend before,” Marchetti explained via X on Tuesday, November 26. “And Tony Germano was the greatest of friends, the greatest of artists. Sad for those who couldn’t share the stage with him, whether on stages, on screens, or in life.”
A fan reacted to the sad news via X by writing: “Heartbroken to hear this terrible news about Tony Germano. It sounds like he was working to make a beautiful home. May his memory bring comfort to his family, and may he rest peacefully. #RestInPeace.”
