KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Taylor Swift’s new “The Fate of Ophelia” music video is packed with nods to her fiancé, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce — including a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo of the tight end himself.
Within the first minute of the video, which officially dropped Oct. 5, Swift appears in a dressing room, wearing a red one-piece leotard and a short platinum blonde wig.

As she dances in front of a mirror surrounded by lights, fans noticed a photo of Kelce smiling taped to the glass.
The subtle placement of the picture felt like a sweet, personal wink to the man who inspired much of her new album.
In a later part of the video, Swift included a more subtle nod to Kelce.
During a scene where she rides on a cart down a hallway, she is tossed a football as she sings, “Pledge allegiance to your hands, your team, your vibes.”

Just after she catches the ball, she prances into a hotel room, which is when eagle-eyed fans spotted the room number marked with an 87, Kelce’s iconic jersey number. Swift is seen next to the same door with “87” on it in her lyric video for her song “Honey.”
For Swift, who’s known for embedding hidden messages and Easter eggs throughout her music videos, these references are no accident, and for fans in Kansas City, they’re a reminder that the city’s most famous love story is still going strong.
In recent interviews, Swift said she and Kelce aren’t rushing the timeline for their wedding so far. She did say that the couple is planning to have a big wedding.
