Christmas is coming early this year for country music fans. Beloved country artist Trisha Yearwood recently announced that in addition to her release of The Mirror, her first album in six years, she’ll be releasing a Christmas album on November 7 according to Country Now. Aptly entitled Christmastime, the 12-track album will feature a mix of classics, reimagined traditional songs, and original pieces.
Some highlights from the new album will be a new rendition of Christmastime Is Here from the classic A Charlie Brown Christmas, along with other traditional hits like You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch and Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, plus a reimagining of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’s “Pure Imagination.”

Fans are likely most excited about her duet with the one and only Garth Brooks on a new original track co-written by the legend himself entitled “Merry Christmas Valentine.”
In addition to the album release, Yearwood announced the Christmas Time With Trisha Yearwood: 12 Days of Christmas tour, where she’ll be performing songs from her new holiday album alongside local symphonies.
“Christmas has always been one of my favorite times of year, and these songs mean so much to me,” said Yearwood in a statement. “To be able to perform them with a full symphony brings the magic to another level. I can’t wait to share this music and celebrate the season with fans on tour.”
Trisha Yearwood’s Love of Christmas
This is not the first Christmas project the country icon has been a part of, and it’s not even the first with her husband Brooks. Her solo project in 1993, The Sweetest Gift, topped charts and even earned gold certification status after its reissue in 2000. In 2016 she released Christmas Together with him, which also topped charts. She has performed in a number of holiday specials, including her 1999 appearance in Garth Brooks and the Magic of Christmas.
The two were officially married during the holiday season on December 10, 2005, so it is fair to say the Christmas magic is woven into the fabric of their love.
“It’s the perfect Christmas gift to each other. We could not be happier,” Brooks once said in a statement after their wedding.
Another Triumph for Garth Brooks
Brooks is set to make a triumphant return to the country scene in 2026 after a brief hiatus. In addition to headlining the SummerFest tour abroad in Europe, he also recently revealed he will be opening a Nashville bar aptly named after his ’90s hit “Friends in Low Places.”
Brooks has never been shy about his love for his wife. In a 2023 Kelly Clarkson Show interview he once got emotional explaining what she means to him.
“As far as Miss Yearwood,” Brooks said, getting choked up, “I’ve said this before: I found her in the past life. I’ll find her in the next.”
