While President Donald Trump enjoys slamming his critics in social media rants and lengthy press conferences, he’s recently taken to sharing AI-generated videos to mock his enemies.
The latest post came late Wednesday night (July 1), when the president shared an AI video on Truth Social depicting himself as a doctor. In the clip, Trump boasted of “curing” celebrities such as Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie O’Donnell, and Robert De Niro of “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
“Have you or someone you know been diagnosed with TDS?” the AI-generated version of the president said. “The symptoms can be relentless. Fortunately, I’m Doctor Trump, and I have a treatment plan.”
He then threw to a series of testimonials from his patients, including long-time Trump critic O’Donnell, who said, “I’ve been suffering for over a decade, and after listening to Doctor Trump, I can see some results.”
The AI-generated Goldberg added, “I really thought I was a lost cause, [that] this was going to affect me for the rest of my life. But after using the treatment plan, I can see a difference.”
“I really wasn’t sure I could help some of these people,” the fake Trump continued. “They were so far gone, I wasn’t really sure.”
The AI-generated De Niro said, “I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep, constantly angry… I made everyone miserable around me.”
Other fake celebrities featured in the video include actors John Leguizamo, Ed Norton, and Julia Roberts, the latter of whom said, “I feel like I’ve aged 20 years in the last two years.”

The video ended with the AI-generated president revealing his prescription, stating, “Turn off fake news, say your prayers, and, if you ever feel anxious, just have a Diet Coke like me, and you’re gonna see a remarkable difference in your life.”
Throughout his political career, Trump has frequently accused his critics of suffering from the made-up “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” a term that has been adopted by his supporters and right-wing news reporters.
The celebrities mocked in the AI-generated video have been among the president’s biggest critics. During Trump’s 2024 election campaign, Goldberg said on an episode of The View, “If [Trump] ever gets in again, we’ll never have anymore elections—there will be no more. He will stop it, and he’s very clear about that. He wants to be dictator for life.”
De Niro, meanwhile, called Trump an “existential threat to our freedoms and security” and O’Donnell left the country and moved to Ireland following Trump’s election win over Kamala Harris.
