7th annual Shell Case Competition Information Session | E.J Ourso College of Business, Dining Room

LSU students majoring in business and engineering can visit this informational meeting on the Shell Case Competition from 5 to 5:30 p.m. During this competition, students develop realistic solutions to real-world business problems. At the end of the competition, cash prizes are awarded to the top three team presentations.

Hadestown | River Center Performing Arts Theatre

Join a company of outstanding performers as they bring the audience on a journey to the underworld and back, showing the power of love and devotion through a timeless Greek myth. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., this 8 time Tony winner show will dazzle the audience with a spectacular performance. Tickets can be purchased here, along with parking.

LSU Chamber Jazz Ensembles | Music Building, SOM 118 (Orchestra Room)

Take a stroll through the eras with the LSU Jazz Chamber Ensembles as they perform classic pieces from different time periods. The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. and display the hard work of LSU students throughout the fall semester as they prepare to enter the new year.

Baton Rouge Zydeco Home Game | Raising Cane’s River Center

Find a seat in the Raising Cane’s River Center for the third home game of the Zydeco season, where the team will bring their all on the ice. Precise maneuvers, fast hits and constant entertainment will begin at 7:05 p.m., but be sure to arrive early to get some snacks and drinks to enjoy through the game. Baton Rouge Turkey Trot | 200-238 North Boulevard

In a local thanksgiving tradition, the Turkey Trot is returning for its 39th year. The day is split into two events, with a 1 mile fun run/walk taking place at 7:30 a.m. and a 5K run/walk taking place at 8 a.m. This race takes place in partnership with non-profit March of Dimes, acting as a major fundraiser for this organization. Louisiana Lights | LSU Burden Museum & Botanic Gardens

Visit the LSU Burden Museum & Botanic Gardens for their first lighting of the holiday season, featuring dazzling light fixtures along paths, through garden rooms and on a backdrop of captivating nature. The lights will remain up through Dec. 30, and times vary based on the ticket purchased.

Ballerinas at the Castle | The Old State Capital

The Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre will be performing a segment of “The Nutcracker — A Tale from the Bayou” featuring little dancers and a mini-lesson for children following the show.
