COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – A TV show is planning to return to College Station within the next year.
Texas Music Scene is a TV show hosted by Jack Ingram and it broadcasts all throughout the country. The purpose of the show is to partner with cities to promote music artists and events.
On Wednesday, the College Station tourism committee met to discuss sponsorship with Texas Music Scene. The sponsorship would help with the taping of a few episodes of the show which plans to highlight live performances and local talent.
The partnership with Texas Music Scene began last year when they came to do a Christmas special, but now the committee wants to expand to showcase the live music scene of College Station.
During the committee meeting, the Visitor Engagement Manager, Casey Barone spoke about how the community can get involved with the show’s tapings.
“We really want to showcase our music scene here in College Station and that’s part of that focus. The most important thing is when we do that taping, come out and enjoy a really fun night — and show how College Station can have a really fun time and how much we love our music,” Barone commented.
The College Station tourism committee is still working to finalize a date, but they are hopeful that Texas Music Scene will make its return in 2026.
