Detroit Lakes, MN (KDLM)- The Minnesota Twins dropped their four-game series against the Kansas City Royals with a 6-5 loss in the finale at Target Field.
The game was tied at one before the Twins surrendered four runs in the top of the fifth. Minnesota rallied for four runs in the bottom of the ninth, but the comeback fell short when Brooks Lee flied out with the tying run standing on second base.
Josh Bell homered in the losing effort. Connor Prielipp was charged with his fourth loss of the season.
The Twins sit in third place in the AL Central at 30-37. Minnesota travels to Detroit to take on the Tigers tomorrow night.
