The Minnesota Twins open a three-game American League Central series against the Kansas City Royals tonight at Target Field.
Minnesota enters the series at 53-and-54 after taking two of three from the Athletics. The Twins won Sunday’s finale 11-to-8 and are now three games behind first-place Chicago in the division.
Kansas City remains last in the Central at 45-and-62, but the Royals have won five of their last seven games. They defeated Detroit 5-to-4 Sunday.
Taj Bradley is scheduled to start for Minnesota against Kansas City’s Seth Lugo.
