The 2025 International Emmy Awards were handed out Monday night in New York City, with U.K. shows leading the way, tallying seven statuettes, including such top prizes as drama series, comedy series, TV movie/miniseries, and actress.
Best Drama went to the Disney+ series Rivals, an 1980s-set comedy-tinged drama based on the Rutshire Chronicles book series by Jilly Cooper. Comedy was given to the BBC detective dramedy Ludwig. Lost Boys and Fairies, a three-part BBC drama about a gay couple’s quest to become parents, won for TV movie/miniseries.
