America 250 Colorado 150 Celebration: 8 a.m., Bittersweet Park, 35th Avenue and 16th Street, Greeley. The country is turning 250 years old and the state is turning 150 years old. This is a once-in-a-lifetime event. The Exchange Club of Greeley and the Union Colony Exchange Club of Greeley are partnering with the City of Greeley to display a field of flags at Bittersweet Park through Aug. 2. The field will consist of 250 American flags and 150 Colorado flags spaced out to allow for a dramatic display of the flags waving in the breeze. The field will be free to the public for all three days, allowing time to view the flags and walk through the field. The ceremony on Aug. 1 will feature patriotic speeches and performances.
