Valerie Bertinelli shared her Thanksgiving plans for 2025.
The former Food Network star revealed she’ll be spending Thanksgiving on the road with her son, Wolfgang Van Halen, along with his band, Mammoth.
Valerie also shared how she plans on relaxing ahead of Christmas in December.
Valerie Bertinelli is sharing some insight into her Thanksgiving plans—and they’re definitely unconventional.
When speaking with People at the 2025 Food and Wine Classic in mid-November, the former Food Network star shared the unique way she plans to celebrate Thanksgiving. Valerie explained that she plans to get together with her son, Wolfgang “Wolfie” Van Halen (whom she shares with her late husband, Eddie Van Halen), and his wife, Andraia Allsop—but it won’t be at home.
Wolfie is currently on tour with his band, Mammoth, and Valerie revealed that the family will go on the road with him for Thanksgiving. They will spend the day with Wolfie’s band and crew in Kansas City, ahead of Mammoth’s show in Oklahoma on November 28.

“Thanksgiving for me, the last few years has been interesting because my son’s been on the road,” Valerie told the outlet. “The first Thanksgiving, I think it was four years ago, we had Thanksgiving in Milan with Alter Bridge, the band. And it was amazing. It was fun. Not a Turkey in sight though!”
“This year I think we’re going to be in Kansas City,” she added. “I love it. So it’s wherever Wolf’s bus takes us, that’s where we’re going to be for Thanksgiving.”
It’s definitely a unique way to celebrate the holiday! Along with her travel plans, Valerie has been super busy filming The Drew Barrymore Show (she is the series’ lifestyle expert) and preparing for the March 2026 release of her new memoir Getting Naked: The Quiet Work of Becoming Perfectly Imperfect.
So, does this mean Valerie will be booked during the winter holidays? As she noted to People, she’s ready to take some time off and do the things she loves most.
“I’m looking forward to some really great family time and animal time because I do travel a lot, but I won’t be traveling for a little bit during December, so that’ll be nice.”
