Bravo’s giving Vanderpump Rules a complete makeover. Nearly a year after announcing plans to start fresh with an all-new cast, the network confirmed that the revamped Season 12 will premiere December 2 with a brand-new trailer already teasing the chaos to come.
The reboot comes after the wildest chapter in VPR history — 2023’s “Scandoval.” The cheating scandal between Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss turned into a full-blown pop-culture event that dominated headlines, split the cast down the middle and even scored the show a pair of Emmy nominations.
However, behind the scenes, tensions got so bad that filming with the original group became nearly impossible. So instead of patching it together, Bravo decided to go back to where it all began.
This season viewers are back at SUR Restaurant & Lounge and producers have filled the cast with a new crop of servers, bartenders and aspiring stars trying to make it in West Hollywood. Bravo describes the upcoming season as “new uniforms, new faces, same wild energy.”
Vanderpump Rules first premiered in 2013 as a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills spinoff centered on Lisa Vanderpump’s glamorous yet gloriously messy employees. It made household names out of Jax Taylor, Stassi Schroeder, Scheana Shay and more. Now, the torch is officially being passed to the next generation of SURvers.
