It’s a big day to be a Vera Blue fan.
The acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter has today announced a new album and national tour.
Vera will release Modern Rituals, her third studio album, on Friday, August 21st via Island Records/Universal Music Australia.
It’s a profoundly major release for the artist. “Through working on this album, I have come to realise that Celia Pavey and Vera Blue are not separate entities. They are one,” Vera, whose real name is Celia Pavey, explains.
Listen to new single “Rituals”, which features on Vera’s forthcoming album, below.
The track was created alongside Grammy-nominated producer Lachlan Bostock (Dom Dolla, ODESZA).
“‘Rituals’ is about learning to witness every version of yourself with honesty and compassion,” Vera says. “Embracing the emotional patterns, sensitivities, and complexities that shape who we are, rather than constantly trying to fix them.

“I’m so proud of this song and how special it was working on it with Lach Bostock.
“The video strips everything back to something raw, instinctive, and vulnerable. The movement becomes a physical reflection of the emotional release, self-awareness, and surrender explored in the song.”
“Rituals” follows previous singles “Parallel Desire”, “In the Corner”, and “Go Lucky”.
Arriving alongside today’s album announcement and single drop is news of an Australian tour, which will take Vera to Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, and Adelaide at the end of August (see full dates below).
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 12th at 9am local time.
