His run at Nashville’s historic venue will cap off the tour, with performances on July 30, 31 and August 1, 6, 7, and 8. The six-night residency serves as an epic finale to the summer trek that’s set to kick off on June 18 in Orlando, Florida, and include stops across Florida, Alabama, Georgia, New York, and more.

Gill, who has spent much of the past nine years touring with the Eagles, will also continue performing with the legendary band even as he hits the road for his own 2026 headline run. The Eagles are currently playing to sold out crowds at the Sphere in Las Vegas.

In addition to his tour updates, the 22-time Grammy winner has been keeping busy in the studio. He recently released the third installment of his yearlong EP series, titled 50 Years from Home, a collective project that commemorates the 50th year of his career and celebrates his journey from leaving his Oklahoma hometown to pursue life as a performer.

Brown’s Diner Bar was the latest to be unveiled on January 9, proceeding I Gave You Everything I Had (October 17, 2025) and Secondhand Smoke (November 14, 2025). Each collection features six brand-new songs and one previous hit.

Plus, all three of the EP covers carry a personal touch as they showcase instruments from the CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award recipient’s personal collection. For Brown’s Diner Bar, he highlighted a 1942 Martin D-45 acoustic guitar he purchased from the Famous Old Time Music Co. in Cincinnati, whose founder, Harry Sparks, passed away last November.

His newest collection of the critically-acclaimed series offers insight to the stories of his life with six new tracks plus a recording of “When I Call Your Name,” which first appeared on Gill’s breakthrough 1989 album of the same name. Kicking things off is the title track of this project, which offers a reflective journey back in time to when he first visited the famed Nashville eatery that is Brown’s Diner Bar.

“It’s a singer-songwriter kind of folk song about…this little hamburger joint,” Gill explains. “It’s been in Nashville for 100 years now, and I’ve been going for 50. When I made my first trip to Nashville in the mid-70s I remember going to Brown’s for a cheeseburger; they’re famous for being really good cheeseburgers. It’s a funky little joint, close to Music Row, so tons of singers and songwriters and musicians turn up there. It’s just a great vibe.”

Also found on the project are several co-writes including “Not Having You Around,” which he penned with longtime friend Leslie Satcher, “This Lonesome Old Cowboy,” a waltz written by the iconic singer/songwriter with Wade Bowen, and “Nobody Knows,” brought to life by Gill with Waylon Payne, son of longtime Willie Nelson guitarist Jody Payne and country singer Sammi Smith, who currently part of Nelson’s Family band. Gill also teamed up with ERNEST and Jake Worthington to create the emotional “I’m Selling All My Memories.”

Then there’s the self-penned “Young Again,” in which Gill drives home the message that aging isn’t something to fight, but instead it’s a journey to embrace.

“You see everybody trying to stay young and do things to themselves to make them stay relevant. I just love the sentiment in that song — ‘There’s still a fire but no desire to be young again.’ That feels right on time for me; I’m 68, and that mirror doesn’t lie. It’s not the kindest thing in the world, but I would never go back. I don’t think I would undo the mistakes I made, either, because you learn more from your mistakes than you do from your successes.”

He rounds the stories out with “When I Call Your Name,” which was originally co-written with Tim DuBois and went on to become a Top 5, gold-certified track.

“Once again, I tried to put a song on there that’s in the same world as what the previous six songs were, and something that follows well and sits with it and sequences well,” he explains. “I still love sequencing an album, still love a certain song following a certain song following a certain song. I just keep plugging in one after another until it feels like it flows really well.”

For fans, both the upcoming tour and new music releases are a chance to celebrate the past five decades of Vince Gill’s career, during which he’s built an impressive resume that spans songwriting, singing, producing, and live performance. Each contribution he makes to the country music world further cements his status as an iconic figure.

“I think that as a songwriter, you have to have lived some life to understand what you’re writing about,” reflects Gill. “You need some years under your belt to have the perspective to look back and really remember things. I know I don’t have as much time left as I’ve had to this point, so everything matters more. There’s a much deeper connection to these lyrics than I would have ever imagined. They’re truthful and they’re real, and I think the songs are about things people can grasp and understand and relate to.”
