HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — Officials with Visit Hot Springs announced that the popular Funkytown band will headline the Oct. 9 Bridge Street LIVE free public concert in the Bridge Street Entertainment District.
The previously announced band, Banda Dos 20, will not perform, officials said.
According to a spokesperson, Funkytown will take the stage at 7 p.m. following a 5 p.m. warm-up by DJ Shaeffer. The seven-piece band features three lead vocalists, drums, bass, guitar, and keyboards, blending funk, R&B, and Top 40 hits.

“We are so pleased to bring an extra five nights of Bridge Street LIVE fun to Hot Springs this year,” Visit Hot Springs special events manager Alexis Hampo said. “The fall weather will be perfect for dancing in the street.”
Rules for the free concerts are simple: Lawn chairs and leashed pets are welcome, but coolers are not permitted, officials said.
