WB Denies Noah Wyle’s ‘The Pitt’ Is Plagiarizing ‘ER’ in Attempt to Dismiss Lawsuit

There has been yet another development in the ongoing lawsuit alleging that The Pitt was only born out of an ER reboot that never made it off the ground. It was announced in August last year that the estate of ER creator Michael Crichton was suing Warner Bros. TV over The Pitt, alleging that HBO’s first original medical drama is nothing more than a reskinning of what was originally designed as a reboot/sequel series to ER. The Pitt star Noah Wyle weighed in earlier this year, saying that he was “profoundly sad and disappointed” by the lawsuit.
