Anita and Bal are one of four pairs on this 5,900km journey across Central America, beginning at Mexico’s most easterly point, Isla Mujeres, and ending at Colombia’s Guajira Peninsula, the northernmost tip of South America. You know the drill: they have to hand in their mobile phones and bank cards, and must survive on only a limited amount of cash – £950 per person in this case, the equivalent cost of flying.
The others are cute couple Molly Rainford and Tyler West, who met while competing on Strictly Come Dancing in 2022; Roman and Harleymoon (yes, really) Kemp, children of Spandau Ballet’s Martin Kemp; and actor Dylan Llewellyn with his mum, Jackie.
