Seether and Daughtry have been cranking out hard-edged rock for a long time.

The two bands are teaming up on their current co-headlining tour, which will stop at Covelli Centre at 6:30 p.m. Monday, with opening acts POD and Kami Kehoe.

Both acts have played Youngstown several times but never in the same show. But they should go well together.

Seether released its ninth studio album, “The Surface Seems So Far,” in 2024.

The South African act (Shaun Morgan, Dale Stewart, John Humphrey and Corey

Lowery) are descendants of bands like Nirvana, Alice In Chains and Soundgarden, putting their own spin on urgent songs.

They have amassed scores of singles including “Fine Again,” “Fake It,”  “Remedy,” “Broken,” “Words As Weapons,” “Country Song,” “Breakdown,” “Rise Above This,” “Same Damn Life,” “Gasoline” and their infamous cover of “Careless Whisper.”

Daughtry’s latest single, “The Day I Die,” dropped in April, following the release of their

“Shock to the System (Part One)” EP in 2024.

One of the most visible and best-selling rock bands of the era, the act, led by Chris Daughtry, burst out in 2007 with the top-selling rock of that year.

In 2021, the band released its “Dearly Beloved” record, with singles “World On Fire,” “Heavy Is the Crown” and “Changes Are Coming” all cracking the Top 10.

Following yet another Top 10 success with the 2023 cover of Journey’s “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” featuring Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale, Daughtry then unleashed 2024 singles “Artificial” and “Pieces.”

Tickets remain available for the show. Prices range from $99.50 to $42.50 at Ticketmaster.com.
