Easter eggs, tulips and a concert with ZZ Top are on the entertainment calendar in Wichita this weekend. Read on for more details:

Return of the tulips

It’s tulip time at Botanica, which will start its annual Tulipfest this weekend. Visitors will be able to see thousands of colorful tulips blooming throughout the gardens at 701 Amidon, and the event will last from Friday through April 26 with special events on the weekends, such as walking tours and Sunday brunches. The hours for the event are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, but members can get in at 7:30 a.m. The brunches, which will be put on from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays throughout the festival, will be provided by Georges French Bistro and include live music from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tulipfest tickets are $15, $10 for children ages 3 to 12, and free for children 2 and under. Members get in free Mondays through Thursdays. Fridays through Sundays, they’ll pay $12 for adults, $10 for children ages 3-12. Sunday brunches are $50 for adults, $45 for children, except on Easter Sunday, when the price will be $60 and $55. Double headliners at the arena

Intrust Bank Arena at 500 E. Waterman will get a visit this weekend from the Dos Amigos Tour, featuring headliners ZZ Top (“Legs,” “Sharp Dressed Man”) and Dwight Yoakam (“Guitars & Cadillacs,” “1,000 Miles.”) The dual-headliner show will start at 7 p.m. Saturday with opening act Southall. Tickets are $62-$249 at selectaseat.com, by phone at 316-755-7328 or in person at the Select-a-Seat box office inside Intrust Bank Arena.

Early Easter events

Easter isn’t until next weekend, but the egg hunts and bunny meetups start this weekend. Though several churches, nearby towns and businesses will be putting on their own, here are some of the big ones in Wichita:

Meet the Easter Bunny at NewMarket Square, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, 2441 N. Maize Road: The shopping center at 21st and Maize will throw a pre-Easter party at its Fountain Plaza, across from Barnes & Noble. It will include an Easter bunny meet-and-greet, face painting, a balloon artist, cookies and an Easter basket giveaway. Admission is free.

Egg Hunt at Applejack Pumpkin Patch, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, 10007 SW Indianola Road, Augusta: Visitors can meet the Easter Bunny, play games and participate in egg hunts. Tickets are $10 at applejack.ticketspice.com/easter-egg-hunt. Food will be available for purchase at the concession stand.

Egg the Park at Central Riverside Park, noon to 2 p.m. Saturday: This free event by Vima Church will include age-specific egg hunts with 60,000 eggs, a bounce house, games and hot dogs.

Dance Odyssey

Amira Dance Productions will put on its annual studio dance celebration, which this year is titled “Metamorphosis — Dance Odyssey” at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday at Northeast Magnet High School, 5550 N. Lycee. The event will include dances from around the world and is appropriate for all ages. Tickets are $40 for VIP seating, $30 for general seating and are available at www.amiradanceproductions.com

Cotillion comedy

Comedian Gabriel Rutledge is bringing his “Don’t Read the Comments Tour” to The Cotillion, 11125 W. Kellogg, on Friday. Rutledge has won comedy competitions, including the Seattle International Comedy Competition and The Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in Atlanta, and he has appeared on many comedy specials. Tickets to the show, which starts at 8 p.m., are $37.80 to $72.37 at thecotillion.com. Doors open at 7 p.m.
