Meghan Markle has been tipped for an acting comeback by a former co-star after stepping back from hosting her Netflix cooking and entertaining series, With Love, Meghan, Wonderwall.com can report.
Eric Roberts — who starred alongside the Duchess of Sussex in the legal drama Suits, playing billionaire financier Charles Forstman in a recurring role between 2014 and 2019 — said he believes Meghan has unfinished business in the industry and acting is where her real talent lies.
Eric, who’s the brother of Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts and the father of American Horror Story actress Emma Roberts, said Meghan’s comeback will “blow everybody’s minds.”
Speaking to the Daily Mail at a recent charity event, the actor — who developed a friendship with Meghan while shooting the hit USA Network show in Toronto — insisted, “She will come back.”
Added his wife, casting director and manager Eliza Roberts, “It is time. And Meghan needs to come back to work. I feel like her whole family will support it, and she is amazing.”

Eliza believes Meghan stepped away from Suits in 2017 after falling for Prince Harry because the royal family had concerns about her character, paralegal Rachel Zane.
“It is tricky because of the monarchy. Her role in Suits was very sexy,” Eliza said.
Watching her character get intimate “with another man, that was just — they’ve never seen anything like that,” Eliza added. “She worked so hard to get there. That was just too much. Women don’t give up their jobs for a marriage anymore.
“I understand the intention, and she thought she’d be satisfied with doing good works in the world. But she needs to be acting,” Eliza continued.
“She is a young woman who needs to be acting.”
According to Eliza, “Meghan is a star. From the second you see her, she just has star quality. It doesn’t matter. It was always going to happen.”

Eric was definitive in his opinion about Meghan’s potential comeback.
“I think she should come back. I think she will come back,” he said. “And I think she’s going to be fantastic and blow everybody’s mind.”
Eric told the Daily Mail that Meghan is a “really cool person, really easy, laid back, kind, smart.”
According to Eliza, the American duchess is also “a good mom” to her children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.
“She is a caring, loving, kind mom. That’s all you need to know about somebody,” Eliza added. “And same with [Harry].”

Meghan will soon appear in front of the camera in the rom-com Close Personal Friends starring Brie Larson, Henry Golding, Lily Collins and Jack Quaid. After she was seen on set in Pasadena, Calif., in November 2025, reports confirmed she has a small role playing herself.
A source told People Meghan was “very relaxed and happy” during the shoot, adding, “She introduced herself to everyone and was very sweet and down-to-earth.”
A studio source told The Sun that the cameo “is a massive moment” for Meghan and “signifies a return to doing what she truly loves,” adding, “It is Meghan’s way of gently putting her toe back in the water and seeing how she enjoys being back on set.”
