THE RUNDOWN
- Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were seen for the first time since their July 3 wedding, arriving at Burbank Airport in California yesterday.
- The couple is expected to attend JuJu Smith-Schuster and Laura Kruk’s July 11 wedding.
- A source told People that Swift was seen in Montana with Kelce’s brother and sister-in-law earlier this week.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce managed to spend their first week as a married couple out of the spotlight, though some details have surfaced about how Swift spent her week and what the couple is doing this weekend.
Yesterday, Swift and Kelce were reportedly photographed arriving at Burbank Airport in California, though they remained obscured by black umbrellas as they exited the plane.
They are expected to attend the wedding of New York Giants wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and Laura Kruk on July 11 at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel, both TMZ and People reported earlier this week.
Sources told TMZ that Swift and Kelce were not planning on taking a mini honeymoon before Smith-Schuster’s wedding. They did have a family trip, though. Entertainment Tonight revealed that Swift and Kelce spent time in Montana, with a source telling the outlet, “Taylor and Travis headed to Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana, after their wedding for a few days of relaxing.”
An insider also confirmed to People that the singer spent time in the state, saying she was seen there with her brother-in-law, Jason Kelce, and his wife, Kylie. No photos of the group have surfaced.
On July 7, an insider told People that the couple is just happy to live in this moment: “They’re really excited to enjoy a few weeks of newlywed life before football season gets going again.”
Kelce’s training camp for the Kansas City Chiefs begins on July 29.
This is the second big wedding Swift and Kelce are attending for one of his friends this summer. They went to his teammate George Karlaftis’s wedding in Glyfada, Greece, in May. Swift wore a blue beaded Zimmermann dress that featured illustrations of mermaids:
The couple hasn’t posted photos from their own July 3 wedding yet. On July 6, a source spoke to Entertainment Tonight about their nuptials, telling the outlet, “Taylor feels like she truly got her love story.”
“You would never know you were at MSG [Madison Square Garden],” the insider continued. “They did an incredible job at transforming the venue into a secret garden with lots of greenery. It also felt intimate. It didn’t feel like there were 1,000 people there.”
Of the custom Dior haute couture looks Kelce and Swift wore for their ceremony, the source said, “Taylor looked beautiful and Travis so handsome. He wore a white tux and her veil was gorgeous and long.”
