Welcome to St. Augustine’s monthly list of events, a robust information source for what’s happening in America’s oldest city. America’s oldest city is already kicking off all things Halloween. From festivals at the St. Johns County Public Library Systems to “Jeepers Creepers” film screenings, EstuScary Haunted Trail Nights and Lincolnville’s annual St. Benedict the Moor Blues Festival weekend and more! What you need to know is all right here!

The Waterworks Halloween Festival

The Waterworks heads to the St. Johns County Public Library Systems main Library Oct. 23 at 4 p.m. for crafts, vendors, games, a trail of treats, a masquerade party, and more! Costumes are encouraged. This program is designed for children and accompanying adults.

Jeepers Creepers Film Screening

The St. Augustine Film Society presents Jeepers Creepers Film Screening Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. Actor John Beshara will lead a Q&A following the screening of this road-trip horror film, which was shot almost entirely in Florida.

St. Augustine Humane Society

EstuScary Haunted Trail Nights

EstuScary Haunted Trail Nights Oct. 24 – 25 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the GTM South Beach Lot. Expect a haunted trail full of frights (best for older kids, teens and adults) plus a hayride. Lincolnville’s St. Benedict the Moor Blues Festival

Lincolnville’s St. Benedict the Moor Blues Festival Oct. 24 – 26 at 86 Martin Luther King Ave. Oct. 24 from 4 to 10 p.m. and Oct. 25 from 4 to 10 p.m. and Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to noon.

St. Augustine Orchestra

St. Augustine Alligator Farm and Zoological Park

For the Love of Jazz

The St. Augustine Jazz Society and Epicentre Alliance present an Evening of Jazz Oct. 25 at 4 p.m. For more information, go to https://www.staugjazzsociety.org/

Kiwanis of St. Augustine

Kiwanis of St. Augustine’s Breakfast Fundraiser Oct. 25 from 8 to 10 a.m. at Applebee’s located on 225 SR 312. The fundraiser helps the Kiwanis Club serve local youth through recreation events, mentorship, Christmas Gifts, the St. Francis House Family Shelter and the Field of Dreams PAL athletic complex.  

Mystic Faire

Mystic Faire Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Center for Spiritual Living, 1795 Old Moultrie Road.

Fall Low Country Boil Fundraiser

Fall Low Country Boil Fundraiser Oct. 25 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Genungs Fish Camp benefiting the Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County.

Old Town Trolley Tours Jail Break 5k

Old Town Trolley Tours Jail Break 5K Oct. 25 starts at The Old Jail at 8 a.m. and runs through Uptown St. Augustine and over the Vilano Bridge to the Atlantic Ocean to benefit INK!

Ancient City Kids Day

Ancient City Kids Day Oct. 25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Francis Field. Organized by EPIC Behavioral Healthcare and other sponsoring agencies, the free event features a variety of games, giveaways, as well as arts and crafts and live entertainment. 

The St. Johns Housing Partnership

The St. Johns Housing Partnership hosts “National Make a Difference Day,” Oct. 25 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Volunteers will paint, clean and repair homes for veterans, the elderly or disabled. Volunteers are needed for exterior house painting, repairs, landscaping, yard cleanup and to help build wheelchair ramps. For more information, go to https://www.sjhp.org/.

Ximenez-Fatio House Museum: Trick or Treat and Harvest Festival Oct. 25 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Castillo by Candlelight ‘Sharks in the Moat’

Castillo by Candlelight, hosted by The National Park Service “Sharks in the Moat” Oct. 25. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., 45 minute tours depart at intervals. Tickets and reservations are required. For more information, go to https://www.nps.gov/casa/index.htm.

Witches Night Out by Pub Crawl

All Hallows Eve Charity Bash

All Hallows Eve second annual Charity Bash Oct. 29 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park. The St. Johns County Legislative Delegation

The St. Johns County Legislative Delegation Oct. 27 9 a.m. to noon at the St. Johns County Auditorium. Chaired by Florida Sen. Tom Leek and vice-chaired by Florida Rep. Judson Sapp, Florida Rep. Sam Greco and Rep. Kim Kendall will also be in attendance.

The Annual Taste of the Fun Coast
