The hit drama teased a major step in the romance between Nathan (Kevin McGarry) and Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) in a new promo for the March 8 episode.

It looks like wedding bells may finally be ringing for our favorite couple in Hope Valley.
With new episodes of When Calls the Heart season 13 airing on Sunday nights on Hallmark, fans have been glued to their TVs for Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow) and Nathan Grant’s (Kevin McGarry) romance. After all, these two have been a couple for two seasons—and that comes after years of longing for one another!
So, when Elizabeth’s son LJ (Hyland Goodrich) asked Nathan about the possibility of him marrying Elizabeth earlier this season, it was clear that When Calls the Heart was ready for this beloved duo to take the next step in their relationship. And as a new Instagram promo for the March 8 episode depicts, Nathan is trying to get Elizabeth an engagement ring to cement their love.
“Next week on an all new When Calls the Heart!” the show’s social team teased in the caption on March 2.
Given how Elizabeth and Nathan’s engagement has been a slow burn throughout season 13, seeing this had fans absolutely hyped online.
“Oooooo …. This is going to be a goodie!! 🔥❤️🔥❤️,” one person shouted in the comments. “About time Nathan 👏👏,” another applauded. “Can’t wait to see this episode. I’m on the edge of my seat. Love this season,” a different follower added.
Fans remember that Nathan first met Elizabeth when his character was introduced in season 6. He was sent to Hope Valley to replace Elizabeth’s late husband, Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing), as the local Mountie amid the latter’s shocking death at the end of season 5. And despite Elizabeth later being engaged to Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally), she always had feelings for Nathan, and they eventually became a couple at the end of season 11.
With all of this in mind, it seems like we may just be attending a wedding at the end of season 13!
