Jen Hamilton is opening up about heartbreak.
On June 13, the 35-year-old influencer shocked the internet when she shared a tearful video telling her followers that her heart was “completely shattered.” Though she didn’t specify why, many interpreted the emotional clip to indicate that she had split from her husband, Brian Hamilton, after nearly 14 years of marriage.
The viral nursing content creator — who maintains a following of over 6.7 million across TikTok and Instagram — has grown a following for candidly sharing stories from her job, medical advice and updates from her family life. Here’s everything to know about Jen Hamilton.

She’s a nursing influencer
For her millions of followers, Jen, who is also a registered nurse, offers medical advice and shares stories from her job.
The influencer first began her nursing career over a decade ago in the emergency room, but started working in labor and delivery in 2018. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she started her social media accounts to share her experience as a healthcare professional and connect with mothers.
In addition to medical content, Jen also shares updates from her domestic life — including videos about raising chickens and her experience with plastic surgery.

She lives in North Carolina
Jen is based in North Carolina, as she has shared on her social media accounts.
In June 2025, the internet personality revealed in an Instagram post that she had put her home, located in Asheboro, N.C., on the market after living in it with her family for 12 years.
“Our beloved house that grew our family is getting put on the market this week!” she wrote in the caption. “We’ve lived in this house for 12 years and it has been so good to us.”
In the year since, Jen has continued to share updates from the state.
Birth Vibes
She’s a bestselling author
Earlier this year, Jen released her first book, Birth Vibes, which has become a New York Times bestseller. Her authorial debut — named after one of her common catchphrases — is a riff on the concept of the “birth plan,” instead urging readers to worry less about what they want to happen during delivery and instead think about how they want to feel when the time comes.
The book, she told PEOPLE in an interview last month, is grounded in real-life patient stories, and it is written for both an audience of pregnant people and other healthcare workers to “find more ways to be compassionate and human and kind of personalize their patients’ experiences.”
Over the last month, Jen has embarked on a tour to various bookstores around the country, partnering with other content creators and medical professionals for moderated conversations about the book. Her next scheduled stop is at the bookstore DIESEL in Santa Monica, Calif., on June 30.

She’s a mother of two
Jen has two children: sons Ellis and Luke.
The content creator previously made headlines in 2022 when she admitted in a now-viral video that she had initially given Luke, her younger son, the name Aspen, but decided alongside her husband to legally change it after 18 months because she felt it didn’t fit his personality.
“I was certain he would be an outdoorsy boy like his dad and brother,” Jen told TODAY.com in 2022. But after speaking with her sister — and coming to the realization that her son did not “have the soul of a river rafting tour guide” — she decided to switch it.
“And he may never guide river rafting tours, but he will, for sure, be in a very comfortable location, being just as sweet as he can be,” she told the outlet.
Her followers are speculating that she has split from her husband
On June 13, Jen appeared to indicate that she and her husband, Brian, had broken up. Addressing her followers through tears, Hamilton said in a video shared to her social media accounts, “Please just let me grieve. My heart is absolutely shattered. ‘He broke my heart, but I still love him with all the pieces.’ “
The content creator added that she was “absolutely devastated,” and said in her post that her son Luke had asked her if she was “gonna cry all the time,” to which she responded, “I hope not, buddy.”
Jen shared a follow-up post on June 15, writing in text overlaying a video of her lying down, “It’s my own fault. I posted my real time pain for it to be witnessed. For someone to tell me l’m gonna be ok. I just didn’t expect so many people to use it for content.”
Continued the influencer: “No one owes me privacy. This is the life I live. But if you ever loved me. Please stop. Talking about him. Talking about our family. Our relationship. I still love him so much and want the best for him. It’s my own fault. I’m sorry. I regret it so much.”
Neither Jen nor Brian has responded to PEOPLE’s requests for comment.

She and her husband have split before
Jen has previously opened up about briefly separating from her husband on social media.
In a 2022 TikTok post, Jen responded to a fan’s question about how she “got through” her separation, to which she responded, “[Brian] and I were separated and it was not a fun time — bad news — but also the best thing that ever happened to us.”
Jen also acknowledged some of the harder times during their marriage in a March 2025 post ahead of their 13th wedding the following August, writing, “It hasn’t always been awesome or fun and there was even a time we didn’t think we were going to make it. But I’m grateful for mending our family and sticking it out. Social media is fake. Don’t believe people who act like they have it all together. No one does. ❤️”
