At long last, Survivor has returned! The 49th season of the hit CBS reality series stranded 18 new contestants in the jungle, as they began to quickly make new friends — and enemies. The two-hour premiere saw one of the biggest challenge comebacks in some time, a number of bonds quickly built and tested and a whole lot of laughing. And, at the end of it all, the first torch of the season was snuffed, ending their million-dollar dreams only three days in.
Check out spoilers about the premiere below and find out who was voted out.
Who got voted off on Survivor 49 tonight?
‘Survivor 49’ contestant Nicole MazulloRobert Voets/CBS
Nicole Mazullo
Before the season, Nicole Mazullo told Parade that she fancied herself the love child of Boston Rob Mariano and Shambo Waters. Unfortunately, upon hitting the Kele beach, she became more of the latter, one of the immediate outsiders of the group. A core three had formed, and, after the blue tribe lost every single challenge in the premiere, they felt tribe strength was of the utmost importance. That meant the easy boot was the physically weakest: Nicole. However, to not get her to play her Shot in the Dark, they spent the entire afternoon into Tribal Council convincing her that she was fine to live to see another day. Unfortunately for the financial crimes consultant, she was not able to detect the fraud playing out in front of her face. She bought their arguments hook, line and sinker, and paid the ultimate price when she became the first one out.

Were any advantages found or played on Survivor 49 tonight?
No! Despite the occasional search, we did not see anyone find or play a Beware Advantage in the premiere. Perhaps they saw how immediate Sai Hughley went to the jungle in Season 48 and opted to slow-play it by comparison.
The Fight for Supplies: DC vs. RizGod
For the third season in a row, following the opening challenge, the two losing tribes — Kele and Uli — were each tasked with selecting one person to compete in a “Fight for Supplies.” Kele chose Alex Moore, while Uli picked Rizo Velovic, with the latter ominiously saying, “If it’s a puzzle, I’m cooked.” Unfortunately, the “RizGod” got just that, as the two guys were tasked with hunting for coconuts, piecing together a map and digging up a ship’s wheel. Alex got off to an early lead, benefitting from his superior cardio and puzzle skills. But, when he got mired down in the dig, Rizo took advantage. He blatantly copied Alex’s puzzle to solve his own, and was able to somehow pass him. Rizo made a massive come-from-behind victory to give Uli their Day 1 supplies, sending Alex back to Kele empty-handed.
