I refuse to believe the TNT Madison Square Garden wedding rumours. It’s just so gauche. Like Lainey wrote yesterday, even the NYT is hedging its bets with reports of permits being pulled. Maybe she is using MSG for a concert? Her performing close to her wedding is more feasible than getting married at a venue that sells popcorn at concession stands.
Cherry Lane Theatre is my favourite place in New York. Michael Imperioli and Sofia Coppola held a screening of Goodfellas, moderated by Taffy Brodesser-Akner. I wonder how that came to be – why that film, with those people? Michael is the key here, he played Spider in Goodfellas, a small but very memorable part.
The Summer House scandal is really interesting because it exemplifies the constantly changing standards of reality TV fans. Scandoval was a huge story but in a way, it felt like the Vanderpump Rules cast was held to a lower standard because they were such a hot mess from day one. It’s been interesting to see the way Bravo has babied Amanda Batula but also how the social media users are so taken aback by Amanda appearing medicated during the reunion. There have been multiple Bravo cast members over the years who have clearly been using all sorts of drugs on camera (cocaine has even specifically been mentioned on several shows) so it’s odd to me that everyone is up in arms about Amanda taking a Xanax. Anyway, Ciara is doing great as a host on Love Island USA: Aftersun.
