Sarah Ferguson moved into Royal Lodge with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in 2008 after a fire forced her to leave the home she was renting in Surrey.

“His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence,” the announcement continued. “Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease, and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.”

Virginia Giuffre, who was one of Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged victims, accused Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor of assault, which she detailed in her posthumous memoir. Following the book’s release, King Charles III stripped his brother of various privileges.
“Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse,” Buckingham Palace concluded.
