Selena Gomez let the world see much more of her and Benny Blanco’s marriage, posting an Instagram carousel featuring 16 personal photos from their relationship. The actress, who has been in London shooting Only Murders in the Building’s sixth season, had her partner on her mind. She wrote in the caption, “Distance means so little when someone means so much…. @itsbennyblanco mish you bb 💙”
Gomez’s shots ranged from a childhood photo of Blanco to new photos from their wedding weekend, New Year’s celebration, vacation, and just everyday home life together.
Blanco left three comments on her tribute, writing, “i fall more and more in love with you everyday,” “wait i need that cowboy outfit back” (a reference to the childhood photo), and “time stands still when i’m in ur arms.”
Gomez and Blanco have been long distance occasionally throughout their relationship. Blanco is a music producer based in Los Angeles. He has also been vocal about his fear of air travel, telling ELLE last year, “Oh my God, I hate it. Terrifying. I’m in Dallas right now. I’m driving to New York from Los Angeles.”
He shared more about how he copes with his travel anxiety during a March 2025 On Purpose with Jay Shetty interview. He told host Jay Shetty, “I take the boat to Europe. Oh my God, it’s so long. It’s like first you have to drive to New York and then you get on a boat for eight days, and you’re on the Titanic.”
Gomez added during that same interview that she’s unsure she’d want to fly with him “because I would be so worried about him. I think it’s a big fear of his.”
They also shared tips for dealing with long-distance stretches while talking to Shetty. Blanco himself stressed the importance of communication, saying, “I know what she needs to succeed. So I’m gonna help her succeed. I’m not gonna be a dick. I’m not not gonna hit her up. And she doesn’t need a lot. She’s like the easiest person in the world.”
He added, “I know, yeah, she wants to talk to me before she goes to bed. She wants me to say, ‘I love you.’ She wants me to text her if I wind up having to stay somewhere two hours late, just a simple, take out your phone and done. And I know that stuff really helps, especially when you’re long distance because it’s natural. You’re far away from someone. You say, ‘I’m not with this person. I’m not as connected to them.’ We’re not meant to be far. You’re not supposed to be long distance with your partner. You’re supposed to be right next to your partner.”
