Some fans think Simon Cowell may have pressed his golden buzzer of love.
Nearly four years after the America’s Got Talent judge and fiancée Lauren Silverman got engaged on Christmas Eve, the pair have sparked marriage rumors thanks to Lauren’s major Instagram change.
For the entrepreneur’s new private account, followed by pal Lauren Sánchez Bezos, she dropped “Silverman” from her name, selecting the handle @LaurenMichelleCowell. And that shift in her moniker may just suggest that the couple may have quietly tied the knot. In the bio she wrote, “Mom to Adam and Eric.”
E! News has reached out to a rep for Simon for comment but has not yet heard back.
Simon and Lauren’s relationship was confirmed in July 2013 as news of her pregnancy with their son Eric, now 11, was revealed. (Lauren is also mom to son Adam, 19, with ex-husband Andrew Silverman.)
In 2021, years after welcoming Eric in 2014, the former American Idol judge proposed to Lauren in Barbados, where they originally met in 2004. Since then, Simon has been vocal about taking the lead on wedding planning.

“I am planning it all, otherwise I know what will happen—there will be 600 people and it’ll get out of control, like my 50th birthday party,” he told The Sun in 2022. “No one knows when it’s going to be—that’ll be a surprise, even for Lauren.”
He added, “I don’t want to have one of these ghastly wedding planners and all the arguments that happen, and who you do invite and who you don’t invite. The whole thing just seems like too much hassle.”
Plus, taking the next step in his and Lauren’s relationship just made sense.

“I’ve kind of felt myself engaged for a long time, if I’m really being honest,” Simon continued. “Lockdown and COVID were probably make or break for many relationships. We were in the same house for over a year and I thought, ‘Well, actually, we get on really, really well.'”
And his son played a part in his decision, too, as he noted, “And for Eric, as he gets older, he will be asked more and more about his parents, and I thought it was the right thing to do for him.”
