1126 Records has announced the signing of Alabama-based metalcore outfit Wielded Steel. To mark the signing, the band have released a music video for their new track “Your Words Mean Nothing”.
Vocalist Jesse Clark shared the following:
‘Your Words Mean Nothing’ is a song about the empty promises of prosperity that are slung around by the ruling class, to try and keep poor people docile and accepting. How they attempt to use identity politics to pit people against each other and keep them distracted and angry. It’s also about how those politicians, and billionaire CEOs, that engineer and profit off of the suffering of the working class are just people. People that can be made to face consequences. There are more of us than there are of them.
The band is currently gearing up for a short tour with Surfaced, which kicks off next week in Little Rock, AR on November 11th.
