Eric McCormack, who played Will Truman on NBC’s “Will and Grace,” has finalized his divorce from wife Janet Leigh Holden McCormack after 26 years of marriage.
According to court documents obtained by People, the former couple settled their divorce outside of court. McCormack filed a declaration for an uncontested dissolution of his marriage to Holden, indicating that they settled on terms in a written agreement.
The ex-spouses also waived “their rights to notice of trial, a statement of decision, a motion for new trial and the right to appeal,” per the outlet.
Their request needs to be approved by a judge for them to become officially not married.
Holden had filed for divorce from McCormack in 2023, citing “irreconcilable differences.” She requested spousal support and asked the court to terminate McCormack’s eligibility to receive any. Details of their finalized agreement have not been made public.
McCormack and Holden first met in 1994 on the set of the CBS TV series “Lonesome Dove.” Holden was the assistant director and Eric portrayed Col. Francis Clay Mosby. They got married in 1997 and share one son together.
