Netflix has given a title and a premiere window to Ferrell’s golf comedy. It’s called The Hawk (a change from the all-caps Golf announced at the time Netflix ordered the series) and will debut sometime during the summer.
As for the plot of The Hawk: If you’ve seen Talladega Nights (or Semi-Pro, or Blades of Glory), you probably have a rough idea of what’s to come. Ferrell plays Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins, “2004’s number one golfer” with a personal style (bleached curly hair, a likewise dyed goatee and aggressively colored golf shirt) to match.
