The 31-year-old made the announcement on the popular podcast, speaking with host Alex Cooper about everything from her expectations about potential suitors to the future of her Hulu reality series. While a date has not been set for the premiere of the ABC reality dating series, Taylor says the casting is “surreal” as she is the first non-Bachelor contestant to ever be the Bachelorette.

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is a Hulu series that follows a group of Utah moms who make videos together on TikTok, known as MomTok, which quickly went viral for its endless drama and Mormon cast, which was divided into “Sinners” and “Saints.”
Taylor was at the center of a “soft swinging” scandal that threatened to split up the social media stars, with all the drama unfolding over the first two seasons of the popular series.

“I do have to ask because obviously people are obsessed with Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, can we confirm that you’re still going to be on that show?” Alex asked the mother of three. “Yes,” she replied, clarifying that she would be “doing both” SLOMW and the Bachelorette.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will be returning for a third season on Hulu on November 13.
Fellow cast members Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck were recently cast on Season 34 of Dancing With the Stars, which will premiere on September 16.

Taylor called her casting “surreal,” though as a single mother of three, she admitted she worried about being away from her kids.
“But then I’m also thinking on the side, the other two moms that are in my group are doing Dancing with the Stars and they brought their family out, but also they have their husbands, so for me I’m like, is this possible for me to do as a single mom?” she pondered.
“Can I make it work realistically no matter how much I want this? And I was like, I can, if you want to you can and it comes down to that so I was just like, I will make it work … I can ask for help more,” she said.

“I think most of them are going to be happy for me and support me,” Taylor said. “I can’t speak for everyone and what they actually truly think, you know never really know. But I think we’re all kind of doing our own thing so everyone is getting their own shots, it’s not just about her her her.”
While she says her ex, Dakota, was not aware that she had been cast, she has received “positive” feedback from her reality co-stars. When Alex asked her if she thinks her ex is going to watch the show as she is courted by potential suitors, she quickly responded, “Yes.”
The Bachelorette will air sometime in 2026.
