Kristen Bell and Adam Brody will soon reunite on our screens for season 2 of Nobody Wants This, which officially premieres on Netflix on October 23. As we await the return of Joanne and Noah’s love story, fans are inevitably wondering if we can expect more from the romcom series once they’re done binge watching.
Nobody Wants This became a Netflix sensation when the streamer debuted the series back in 2024. The show, which follows the unconventional relationship between a sex-positive podcaster and a Jewish rabbi, ended up earning three nominations at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony, including for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Netflix has yet to confirm whether or not the show will return for a third season. We can likely expect to receive more news once season 2 officially premieres. (For context, Netflix didn’t confirm season 2 until nearly a month after season 1’s premiere.)

Erin Foster, who created Nobody Wants This based off of experiences from her own real-life relationship, previously talked to Harper’s Bazaar about working on the show.
“I would say that the best writing comes from personal experience because you can speak to a unique perspective that you have in the situation. I’m not always great at seeing things I’m going through in my life as stories to tell for TV,” she said. Part of what pushed her to do Nobody Wants This was her desire to see compelling women representation in media. “There’s so much content out there, so many films and TV shows where men write women the way that they think women should be,” she added. “And women usually watch and are like, ‘That’s not what women are like. We don’t say things like that. And we’re not begging to give blow jobs under the table all the time. That’s just not who we are, but that’s who you want us to be.’”
