William Shatner is immortalizing his legendary career by writing a book — and fans have a chance to be included in it.
Shatner, best known for playing Captain James T. Kirk in the “Star Trek” franchise, announced his new project entitled “William Shatner… And You!“ on Thursday, Aug. 7.
“My dear followers, I wanted to drop a bit of a teaser: I’m writing a new book,” the 94-year-old wrote in an Instagram post. “Even Better: the book’s all about YOU, the fans, and you can be a part of it, maybe even be in it!”
From now until Dec. 31, fans who pre-order the book can submit their own tale of how Shatner’s characters (i.e. Kirk, T.J. Hooker or Denny Crane) have impacted their lives.
On top of that, a select number of fans will get to be interviewed by the Emmy-winning actor and have their stories featured in the final edition of “William Shatner… And You!”
“This isn’t just a chance to own a piece of history: it’s an opportunity to make history, to have your voice echo across the galaxy alongside mine,” the book’s website reads.
All fan-submitted stories will get reviewed by Shatner’s team and shortlisted for interviews by the end of this year/start of next year. Finalists will be sent to Shatner in the first few months of 2026.
