NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio — Want to see the latest Emma Stone movie before anyone else for free? All you have to do is shave your head.
People willing to go bald — on the spot — will receive two complimentary tickets, popcorn and a soda for the advance screening of “Bugonia” at Phoenix Theatres Great Northern on Oct. 28 at 7 p.m.
Professional stylists from the JCPenney Salon will be on-site, offering free head shaves to anyone willing to accept the challenge. The first five people to do it will receive a pass for a free year of movies at the theater.
To sign up, email [email protected]. The event is first come, first served.
In “Bugonia,” directed by Yorgos Lanthimos (“Poor Things”), Emma Stone plays the CEO of a major pharmaceutical company kidnapped by a pair of conspiracy theorists (Jesse Plemons and Aidan Delbis). Convinced she is an alien determined to destroy Earth, they shave her head to prevent her from contacting the alien mothership.
The film, which received a seven-minute standing ovation following its premiere at the Venice Film Festival in August, opens in theaters nationwide on Oct. 31.
