Wunmi Mosaku is adding another major moment to her already stacked 2026 run. Ahead of the Met Gala, Vogue unveiled its annual fashion portfolio, and the Sinners star is featured among a curated group of creatives tapped to set the tone for this year’s biggest night in fashion.

Mosaku appears in a sleek Tom Ford look paired with Tiffany & Co. jewelry, positioned in the portfolio under the theme “The Shape of Things to Come”—a nod to both fashion’s forward direction and her growing presence across film and style spaces.

She’s not alone in the lineup. The portfolio also includes ballet icon Misty Copeland, actor Gwendoline Christie, and artist Tschabalala Self, alongside newer faces like actor Chase Sui Wonders and model Alex Consani.

Each is styled in statement pieces from major fashion houses, including Chanel, Valentino, Balenciaga, and Carolina Herrera, reinforcing the Met Gala’s reputation as a collision point for fashion, art, and performance.

Still, Mosaku recently made it clear that the recognition hasn’t been easy to celebrate. In a recent interview, Mosaku said, “I’ve not been able to celebrate because of what’s going on right now,” referencing ongoing political tensions and reported ICE-related incidents in the United States.

She described the emotional disconnect of receiving career-defining news during a heavy moment, adding that “one feels beautiful and one is so dark and heavy; truly dystopian.”

That layered reality has followed her throughout awards season. Just weeks before the Oscar nomination, Mosaku made headlines at the Golden Globes, where she revealed she’s expecting her second child. She arrived in a bright yellow custom gown that highlighted her baby bump, later explaining the look was inspired by the Yoruba phrase meaning “mother is golden.”

In a personal essay released at the time, she acknowledged the tension between privacy and public life, writing that sharing the news felt deeply personal but necessary as speculation grew.
