Sunday Best
I love this photo of the “Wuthering Heights” cast and crew at the London premiere of the film earlier this month (which, as of this writing, I have not yet seen). The group looks delightfully color-coordinated yet random. Obviously, someone sent out a black/pink memo, which director Emerald Fennell decided to ignore (and props to her for standing out in bright red), but I quite enjoy a) Margot Robbie’s very odd gown, reportedly inspired by Victorian mourning brooches, b) the fact that Jacob Elordi, in the center, seems to have gotten caught in a rainstorm while wandering on the moors before dropping by the red carpet, and c) Charli xcx, over on the right, has gone completely Miss Havisham, which isn’t even the right Victorian author but the effort’s appreciated nonetheless.
